2020
North Investment Group becomes Sono Group.
2019
Acqusition of Sørlie Prosjektinnredninger AS, a company focusing on office furnitures.
2016
DIS AB was a part of the acquisition of ACAP Invest in 2014. The company was sold in August 2016 as it was not considered part of the core NIG business.
2015
Expanding in Sweden with the acquisition of Ergoff Miljö (100%), a company focusing on ergonomic furniture and solutions .
2014
NIG acquiring the majority stake of the Swedish listed company ACAP Invest followed by a significant restructuring of the Group, leading to the establishment of North Investment Group (NIG). ACAP Invest included Sonesson Inredningar AB, Tranås Skolmöbler AB, Alnäs Möbelfabrik AB, Miljöexpo, Form o Miljö, GBP and Sono, brands within storage solutions and furniture to pre-school and education as well as mechanical industry furniture.
2009
Introduction of furniture in the product portfolio.
2008
Establishment of Altistore in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, a “catalog” company selling its product directly to end users
2007
Establishment of new central warehouse in Sarpsborg, Norway.
2005
Establishment of SSG in Denmark and thus expansion into a new market.
2004
Establishment of Frigaard Handel AS and Scandinavian Storage Group (SSG) Norway.
2003
Trond Frigaard acquired 100% of the shares in Sarpsborg Metall which offers storage solutions within whole sales.
